Angela Evelyn Bassett is an American actress. Since the mid 80s, Angela Evelyn has worked in film and TV. Her work has been recognized with several awards, among them sixteen NAACP Image Awards. Bassett is a native of New York New York and was raised by her aunt who lived in Winston-Salem North Carolina. Her mother split with her father at around five. She and her younger sister then went into St. Petersburg Florida with their mother. Bassett watched the James Earl Jones in John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men play while she was still in highschool and realized that acting is what she would like to be doing. In the year 1980, Bassett completed her studies at Yale University New Haven Connecticut with a degree in African American studies. She earned a diploma from the Yale School of Drama. At Yale she met Courtney B. Vance a actress who was a friend of hers. They got married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. Degree in African-American Studies in 1980. Master in Fine Arts degree from the Yale School of Drama School: Jordan Park Elementary School Disston Middle School (seventh grade) Azalea Middle School (eighth and ninth grade) Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett is currently working as one of the main roles in the film Ramonda in the action-adventure film i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
