Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzales-Collins, who is a Mexican American broadcaster. Her current job is with ESPN as a reporter for SportsCenter and, occasionally, host SportsNation. She joined ESPN in the year 2016. She is the daughter of the journalist on television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is bi-lingual and has been so since her age of nine. This ability allowed her to land her first work at Univision, Miami. She was able to work alongside national producers on shows such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. It was the CBS channel that is located in St. Petersburg hired her for a position as the sports reporter. She also worked as a journalist at KNVO TV 48 Univision in Rio Grande Valley Texas. Covering stories on immigration and drug-trafficking on both sides of the border with Mexico. She was a reporter for the 5 p.m. Spanish newscast a anchor and reporter for nine p.m. news in English, and reporting for the 10:30 p.m. Spanish newscast. Her parents divorced shortly afterwards and in 1995, she got married to a naval designer named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away in 2006 due to kidney cancer. Antonietta she was a high school senior with an idea of what she wanted her career to be, decided to visit Mount Union University to determine if the school suited her. In the end, she was a fan of the university and they had the program she wanted. She graduated from high school and was accepted in the university to study media studies. The relationship she formed was long-lasting with her teacher Mark Bergmann who was the supervisor at WRMU 91.1 FM, a station of which she was a participant.
